7/26/24 - IGC Testing Procedure
Hot Swap Test: Ensure hot swapping and rebooting does not crash application
When connected to IF800 via IGC, unplug one of the batteries
Go to Vehicle Setup -> Parameters -> Reboot Vehicle
Vehicle reboots, plug battery in Repeat 10 times. Then try in slightly different order, such as plugging battery back in while rebooting.
Results: Did not crash IGC once. Conclusion: Customer had a build with the bug that crashed application on reboot
Switching From App Test:
While connected, switch to herelink settings, keep application open in background
Mess with remote id settings, click around in app
Switch back to IGC
Move map around in IGC
Does the application crash? If not, repeat Repeat test 20 times Tests I did: 1. Did this while in flight view screen on IGC without RTSP stream loaded 20 times, no crash 2. Did with RTSP stream loaded in flight view screen 20 times, no crash 3. Did while in video screen 20 times (video expanded), no crash 4. Did while in application settings, vehicle settings, hudless mode, no crash 5. Did while in plan view, no crash. 6. Did while uploading an excessively large mission in plan view, the mission failed to upload, but no crash 7. Repeated all prior tests with an excessively large mission because a large mission means way more resources used up. Even with a very large mission, I could not get the application to crash. Even when the application was lagging due to the large mission, I could not get it to crash. 8. Tried spamming certain buttons such as the "application settings" button, switching application while loading, and then switching back, spamming as fast as possible. No crash 9. Tried switching as part of the map was actively loading, no crash 10. Switched applications while hot swapping batteries and rebooting vehicle, no crash 11. When you hold down the switch application button, you go into split screen. I tried split screen and wasn't crashing during it. Tested around 20 times. One time when on split screen and switching back to normal, IGC restarted but it did not crash. Was unable to recreate it
