VOXL2 5G Setup

Make sure either the 5G hat is on the VOXL2 with antennas, or you have a wifi dongle / ethernet plugged in. Some of this setup stuff requires the VOXL2 to be able to connect to the internet.

Linux

First, make sure to follow the VOXL2 setup here

When running the setup script, choose Quectel.

• Eventually, during the setup, it will start trying to connect to the internet. Do not be alarmed if it takes multiple attempts to connect. 5G will take a minute or two to come online.

• After tailscale is done installing, you will see a tailscale link appear. Click on this link, and log in with the credentials you want. The VOXL2 will now be added to your tailscale network.

• Make sure to hard reboot your VOXL2 after the setup is done.
