Taisync Radio Troubleshooting

Issue: Sometimes parameter/mission download is taking way too long. We need to investigate where that problem is

Plan

  1. Ensure I can recreate the issue

    1. I can see the mission download being very slow. So on initial opening of IGC things take a while

  2. see if i can recreate the issue when hardwired in. because in that scenario it is more of a mavlink/qgc issue

    1. working on this now. I can connect to 192.168.144.33 port 15552 to get the stream

  3. I would like to get a baseline speed using iperf to see what types of speeds we are getting in a normal setting

  4. ensure that we are in point to point instead of multipoint

  5. get RSSI and noise measurements to ensure we arent in a noisy environment and RSSI metrics are strong

  6. meausre airlink quality

  7. check what MCS we are being set to and if that is dynamically changing

  8. check what our uplink and downlink rates are set to

Things to Try

  1. Increase the baud on the radios to communicate faster

  2. Ensure that the firmware on the radios is up to date (not convinced as the webpage looks rather old)

Recreate

Can recreate by planning a large mission, uploading, and then reopening IGC. It takes a while for everything to come down

Baud rate change

The current baud is at 115200. Going to increase that

Current load time for mission: 58.5 seconds

I am unsure why I can not change the baud rate on these...wtf..I reached out to taisync
