Prepare Control PI LR1 SD card

  1. Download Balena Etcher if you do not have it: https://etcher.balena.io/

  2. Download the control pi image from our drive here. Note: It is around 1.2GB, but when extracted, it will be around 64 GB.

  3. Plug in a microSD card you want to use using an SD card reader (or if your computer has a microsd slot, you can just plug directly in

  4. Open Balena Etcher

  1. Select "Flash from file" and choose control_pi.img.xz. It will automatically expand it to control_pi.img when you select it.

  1. For "Select target", choose your SD card

  1. Click "Flash!"

The flash takes a while. Usually like 30 minutes.

This entire process can be replicated to create a flashable drive for any OS (assuming you have an img file). So this knowledge can be used for other things as well.

  1. After the flash finishes, eject the microsd card and insert into banana pi. Turn on the banana pi, and it should boot from the sd card and be setup. Verify that with everything plugged in that the LR1 MavCam is working on IGC.
